Each May Bank Holiday weekend the village hosts over 40 live music and dance performances that range from big name concerts to small workshops; from lively pub gigs to intimate side shows and a healthy dose of fringe attractions to compliment. The festival continues to grow from strength to strength with the audience numbers growing year on year. 

It’s a really unique festival we have created together, full of heart, fun and community and we need your help to keep it that way.

BJF is run entirely by by volunteers, all with the same vision to make these events accessible to all and to engage our Community on the Mizen Head.

With your help we will continue to make and create this festival and strive for it to get better and better each year.  This will have a positive effect for you, your business, the community and the audience. 

Did you know? Ballydehob’s jazz festival is now a year round organisation producing artistic events throughout the year!! 

Over 90% of the events are free thanks to the work of a dedicated band of volunteers, the support of the Arts Council & Cork County Council, Cully & Scully, Richmond Marketing and most importantly local businesses and a very active local community.
