Ballydehob Jazz Festival presents a live performance of Loch Trasna and Cogadh Na Saoirse, outback of Levis Corner House, Ballydehob.

As per current public guidelines, this performance will take place out door (in a covered area).

Audience will be very limited nmbers.

Loch Trasna (The Roaring Water Suite), an original piece of music commissioned by the Ballydehob Jazz Festival and written by Paul Dunlea, acclaimed Cork based trombonist and composer. It is a 4 movement inspired by the extraordinary efforts and courage of local men and women of West Cork during the War of Independence.

Cogadh Na Saoirse (Fight for Freedom) is a piece of original music again composed and arranged by Paul Dunlea, is entirely inspired by the turbulence and legacy of the Irish War of Independence in this country and explores how echoes of this time reverberate through the political climate today.
