About The Festival

Ballydehob Jazz Festival is a not-for-profit event that takes place each year around the start of May. It is put together on a voluntary basis by members of the Ballydehob community.

The organisation is committee based with chairperson, secretary and treasurer roles, and a support team that help to plan and co-ordinate activities. All funds or donations go directly into the running of the festival and any surplus is carried forward to the following year.

Ballydehob Jazz festival first started in 2007 and was the inspiration and work of local resident John Fagan and a small community group. The event grew in size over the next two years however John decided to step down in 2010 and a new committee was formed. We would like to thank him for developing and promoting what is now an annually anticipated event.
